Monday Mining: Storage Ideas

Happy Monday, friends!

Time to go "in search of" once again.  I thought, as I desperately need to organize most of my house, that a post looking at storage ideas would hit the spot.  Anyone else?

Let's dive right in, shall we?

How about starting with an idea for the sewing space, exactly what I need!  Mommy by Day, Crafter by Night did a nice job here:
I love the way the color plays together here.  She tells you exactly where she got everything to organize the space and how much she spent.  Thanks, Ashley!

Karen, from Sew Many Ways, has a fantastic idea for "filing" her fabric - keeps it nice, neat and out of the light.  GREAT idea, Karen!  Head over to her blog and you can find out exactly how she does it and why.

How about something to keep one of your crafting worlds all in one place?  Pop on over to Oh My Handmade and see what the thought of for a vintage suitcase.  Perfect for scrapbooking or some other paper-related craft, don't you think?

Here's an organization idea to help keep things upright and organized - say it's an open space with out a way to keep things from tipping over!

Jane, at Mamie Jane's has a marvelous way of making her organizing look, well, artistic.  While I'd be happy if things just had a place to be, she has things in their own place, but on top of that, it's beautiful.  Maybe she could do some shopping for us and find some vintage treats to store our crafts, eh?

A place for yarn that makes it look like art would be fun, too.  I found this over at leethal.net.  She gives some good directions for how to create this, as well.

I am thinking one of the things I need are tubs...just so much fabric, but I also like the idea of open boxes for some of what I need to organize.  I found this FABULOUS and very well done tutorial for making fabric covered boxes.  over at Positively Splendid - thanks so much, Amy!
When I grow up I want to create blog posts like her!!  :o)

This next idea is one of those you hit yourself in the head and say: "Why didn't I think of that?"  Spunky Junky shows how to organize your ribbons!  How cool!

Go check her blog out - there are more wonderful ideas there, too!

Better Homes & Gardens has a great idea for using a shoe bag on the back of a door for crafty items!  Would be wonderful if I had a door there...nope...don't...won't work for me, but hey, maybe for you!

The last one that caught my eye was designed for use with Lego's, but hey, I have some small things.  We also have thousands and thousands of Lego's!!

Any really good storage ideas to share?  I'd love to hear about them, do tell!

Quilty hugs,
Carrie
